Excerpt from artists' narrative account
Even though we don’t have great opportunities in the camp, we do have time to spend with our family, and that’s good for us. If you move to a third country, of course, you have greater opportunities, but you don’t get enough time to spend with your family. If we have a Thai ID, we will have the chance to travel, continue our studies, find a job to survive, or do other things. So, we will have a great opportunity.
This drawing is about our villages. We just want to return to our hometown and live peacefully, just as we are. But we worry about being recruited by the Burmese military. My friend is afraid the military will force him to be conscripted and fight against his own people.
